38 year old man held by police tonight after major security alert at Heathrow. Arrest comes as intruder breaks through Heathrow security, climbed aboard BA 747 and then locks himself in the cockpit. Police called at 11:30 on Saturday and told that a person had breached security on Heathrows Perimeter Road and entered BA’s engineering base at Hatton Cross (east of Heathrow airport operations) After the man had been spotted boarding the plane, he rushed and locked himself into the bomb proof cockpit of the plane.
