Panic as Virgin Australia flight bursts a tyre on takeoff before circling in the air for three hours and making a dramatic emergency landing

The pilot of a Virgin Australia plane which burst a tyre on takeoff was forced to circle in the air for three hours before making a dramatic emergency landing. Terrified passengers on board the Perth-bound flight faced an anxious wait as the plane looped off the Queensland coast in a bid to burn fuel. The 737 finally touched down at around 1am at Brisbane airport, where passengers were forced to remain overnight. Source

Airport DOOM! Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport - Thai Boeing 747-400 Skidded Off Runway

Thai Boeing 747-400 skidded off runway at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport  On 8 October at around 22.48 (local time) Boeing 747-400 from Guangzhou suffered a runway excursion. The flight #TG679 landed at runway 19R with 116 people on board. The main left gear left pavement and was stuck into grass under inclement weather conditions. “There was heavy rain upon landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport, and the aircraft experienced a partial excursion from the runway, whereby the aircraft came to a complete stop,” explains Thai.The Boeing 747-400 (reg. HS-TGF) suffered damages. The runway was closed for inspection. A Notam has been issued. One passenger was injured passengers with left ankle syndrome. Source
